Wow! I’m actually on top of this!
So, this past week, there wasn’t really a song that popped out and hit me, but there was one new song I heard that was really really good, called “Not Meant to Be” by Theory of a Deadman. First of all, weird band name. Srsly, where do these names come from? So, I heard the song on the radio and liked it so much I downloaded it. It just had that *zing* that a good song has, y’know? The lyrics are at the bottom.
Also, there are two songs that are not new in my iTunes library, but which I shamefully had never listened to for some reason: “You are Mine” by Mute Math and “Everything” by Lifehouse. I have quite a few songs that, like these, are waiting for me to discover them. This is because I have a lot of songs that I downloaded in fanmixes and that type of thing, and unless I listen to the playlist right then and there, I forget to go back and check it out. The only reason I gave “You are Mine” a second glance is because it’s by Mute Math, and they have a song on the Twilight soundtrack, “Spotlight”. It plays when Edward and Bella get out of the Volvo and go into school as a couple for the first time. Yep, that’s when Edward has his omgsofreakingawesomeiwan’tsome sunglasses on. And he says the Hell quote. I would say it’s one of my favorite parts, but I say that about every part. Seriously, though, how can every part not be your favorite? I digress. “Everything” is supposedly the Smallville theme, or that’s what iTunes tells me. I, however, have never watched Smallville, and have no immediate plans to do so. Anyways, the song is just nice and smooth and lulling and somewhat calming. It’s not really a sing-a-long, but who cares? And in no way does it compare to the song of the same name by Michael Bublé. Nothing can compare to Michael B. Y’can’t touch this. And yes, I just quoted MC Hammer. Get over it.
Toodles!

It's never enough to say I'm sorry
It's never enough to say I care
But I'm caught between what you
Wanted from me, and knowing
If I give that to ya
I might just disappear.
Nobody wins when everyone's losing
Oh, it's like
One step forward and two steps back
No matter what I do you're always mad
And I can't change your mind,
Oh, it's like
Trying to turn around on a one way street
I can't give you what you want
And it's killing me and I, I'm starting to see
Maybe we're not meant to be
It's never enough to say I love you
No, it's never enough to say I try
It's hard to believe that's there's
No way out for you and me
And it seems to be,
The story of our life
Nobody wins when everyone's losing
It's like one step forward and two steps back
No matter what I do you're always mad
And I can't change your mind, oh
It's like trying to turn around on a
One way street. I can't give
You what you want and it's killing me
And I, I'm starting to see
That maybe we're not meant to be
There's still time to turn this around
Should we be building this up
Instead of tearing it down
But I keep thinking
Maybe it's too late.
It's like one step forward
And two steps back,
No matter what I do
You're always mad
And I, can't change your mind, oh
It's like tryin to turn around
On a one way street
I can't give you what you want
And it's killing me and I,
I finally see,
Baby we're not meant to be
It's like one step forward,
And two steps back,
No matter what I do
You're always mad,
And I, Baby I'm sorry to see,
Maybe we're not meant to be
